My name is Tyler Ciarlanti, I am a professional tattoo artist working out of Austin. My focus is in black and grey work. I pull inspiration from many different experiences in life, ranging from the darker side of macabre imagery to beautiful Japanese inspired florals and different elements of nature. I give my clients with the opportunity to express their inner selves through visual art adorning the body. I split my time between Austin, my hometown of San Diego, and New York City, and can travel to you or with you for larger pieces. I like to create pieces that flow and fit each individual’s unique shape and personality. When given the freedom to create openly and freely I’ve been able produce some of my absolute best work this way. These are the pieces and people I enjoy working with the most.
I’ve found that tattooing is a sacred energy exchange for those involved on both sides, and through the magic of this craft we can often change the course of people’s lives, leaving a positive impact when given the opportunity. I provide a way for the individual to open up to their true selves and live life a little more authentically. A way to step into your own power as a human if you will. Bring me your dreams, your experiences, your nightmares, lets work together to make your own reality.
I work primarily out of my studio Red Lantern Collective in Austin, Texas. My coworkers and I are all focused on producing high-quality, long-lasting tattoos. We are constantly inspiring each other to grow and create more fluidly. We welcome all walks of life here and strive to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for everyone we have the opportunity to work with. Our goal is that through the work performed, and energy exchanged here, people are left with a sense of self-empowerment and a piece of art to enjoy as a memory through life.
🌹💀 Had a lot of fun making this one at @redlanterncollective in Austin, TX. Fun way to pay homage to Death while incorporating a little Life in there as well. Everything is mostly healed in the first photo with just a little fresh work in the toothy bits.

I’m now splitting my time between Austin and my hometown of San Diego. For now, I’m traveling home to tattoo once every other month. Share a tattoo idea and I’ll share my availability.
I tattoo out of New York City 2-3 times per year as well as upstate New York. If you envision a larger piece that unfolds within a week, I’m open to traveling for your project.
I travel frequently for guest spots and can also do destination tattoos, travelling to you, or travelling with you to a location of your choice. Destination tattoos only available for bigger pieces and require committing to 4 days of work in the span of a week.
